Recovering the Woman I Lost While Carrying Everything Alone
You’ve been strong for a long time.
And it’s costing you more than you admit.
You’re capable. Reliable. The one people lean on.
And somewhere along the way, you disappeared under all of it.
This isn’t just personal — it’s structural.
In 2023, 69% of Black mothers were breadwinners for their families — carrying households financially and emotionally, often at the same time.
So if you’re tired, depleted, or running on fumes, it’s not because you’re failing. It’s because you’ve been holding too much for too long.
In 2026, I’m hosting a small number of intimate, luxury retreats for women who are ready to stop surviving and start returning to themselves.
This page is interest only.
No pressure. No decisions today.

Why This Kind of Rest Is Necessary
This isn’t “I just need a nap” tired.
National data shows that 1 in 5 Black women report having a chronic physical condition that’s been made worse by chronic emotional or mental stress.
That’s what happens when stress never turns off — when you’re the provider, the caretaker, the organizer, the emotional anchor — and still expected to keep going.
And when the world feels heavy, it doesn’t stop at the door.
According to the American Psychological Association, political concerns were the top reported stressor in their most recent Stress in America report.
For Black women — who show up, organize, vote, and carry communities — that weight is not abstract. It’s lived. This is the context these retreats are built for.
These Retreats Are For You If…
- You’re tired of being the one who holds everything together
- You feel emotionally depleted, even when life looks “fine”
- You want rest that actually changes something
- You don’t need another strategy — you need space
- You’re ready to feel like yourself again
Black women also over-index in caregiving roles — both unpaid and paid. For example, nearly one-third of home health aides in the U.S. are Black, compared to about 13% of the overall workforce.
So when you say, “I’m tired of taking care of everybody,” that’s not weakness. That’s reality. If you’re nodding, you’re in the right place.

What This Page Is (And Isn’t)
This is not a sales page. This is not a push.
It’s a pause.
A way for women who have been carrying households, careers, kids, communities — and the emotional temperature of the country — to say: “I can’t keep doing this alone.”
